Goyt Valley

On Sunday I risked the WET AND WINDY weather off Buxton. Why you ask? To get slow shutter speed river photos, sadly it was so wet the photos turned out OK , it was very hard work keeping all my kit dry. But in the end I was happy with the results.

While at Goyt valley on the Buxton / Derbyshire , I didn't see another single person. I sometimes find solace and joy in the solitude of being a wildlife photographer. Comforted by the gusty winds and muted bird song I can honestly say it was one of the most relaxing shoots I have done.

I highly recommend Goyt valley for a photography or rambling location.

"In silence I felt my heart grow, the wind wrapped me in its cold unforgiving arms still I felt safe. As a kestrel screeched over my head, making me look skywards, I knew this is me being content , chilled ,happy and always enthralled."
